To further your point — creators (writers, producers etc) love working with Netflix and Amazon because I have heard they pay more (to be fair, they also give creators more freedom, currently). So could that be a calculated agenda by the winners of Tech Media, not only budget aggressively, but pay a premium until the pendulum swings — which it appears at Netflix it has….
